Zakaat is a pillar of Islam and a right of the poor. We distribute Zakaat strictly to eligible categories in Malawi, with amanah and transparency.
We prioritise the most vulnerable: widows, orphans, the poor and needy (fuqarā’ and masākīn). Support may include food assistance, education essentials for eligible learners, medical aid, and livelihood start‑up for those without means.
All allocations are reviewed to ensure compliance with the eight categories (asnāf) outlined in the Qur’an (9:60). Funds marked as Zakaat are kept separate from Lillah/Sadaqah and used only where permissible.
